Kotaku received a statement from Ubisoft, confirming the takedown was due to a copyright claim. In a statement reposted on Twitter, Krollywood said, "Ubisoft send me a mail because they got on from MGM." The creator continued that they do have local back-ups of the maps, but "I don't know if there is a legal way to upload them again, because I'm on their radar now, I think."
